Government of Jamaica Investment Debenture 2001/2002 Series "M" Issue

The Government of Jamaica announces the issue of a new investment debenture. The subscription period for this security opens on Thursday, July 13, 2000 and closes at or before noon on Wednesday, July 19, 2000.

DEBENTURE 2001/2002 - SERIES "M"

OFFER: Unlimited

PRUDENTIAL: This Instrument will not qualify as a liquid asset.

INTEREST: Interest at a fixed rate of 19% p.a. payable semi-annually on January 19 and July 19, until maturity on January 19, 2002.

PRINCIPAL: Principal will be repaid in full January 19, 2002. On final redemption, investors will be required to deliver to the Ministry of Finance and Planning such Debentures being redeemed.

SPECIAL CONDITION: Government of Jamaica may exercise the right to prepay at any time with three months'' notice.
