Enquiry Into New High Yield Bond

The Ministry of Finance and Planning has initiated an enquiry concerning a report of the Times of 9th September 2000, that a representative of the Jamaica Mortgage Bank has approached the United Kingdom market to raise funds by way of a new high yield bond.

The Ministry of Finance and Planning has not authorized any such approach to be made to the market.
