• Amendments to the Bank of Jamaica Act;
• Amendments to the Securities Act;
• Amendments to the Unit Trust Act;
• A new Insurance Act, and;
• An Act to establish the Financial Services Commission.

So as to allow the widest participation in the consideration of these important pieces of legislation, they have been referred to a Joint Select Committee of both Houses of Parliament. The sittings to discuss the bills will commence on Thursday, 9^th November, 2000, at Gordon House at 10:00 a.m.

Interested parties are requested to submit their comments on the Bills as early as possible, to the Clerk of the Houses (Gordon House), 81 Duke Street, Kingston.

The sittings are also open to the public.
