Davies in Washington DC meeting with IMF and World Bank

Minister of Finance and Planning, Dr. Omar Davies, is visiting Washington DC and New York over the period May 7-14, 2003. While in Washington DC, he will be holding meetings with the World Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank, the IMF and officials of the United States Treasury Department. In New York, he will be meeting with the Rating Agencies, Investment Bankers and Investors.

The visit is a routine one to update institutions and individuals on plans for the Jamaican economy, consequent on the passing of the 2003/2004 budget.

Dr. Davies is accompanied by the Financial Secretary Miss Shirley Tyndall and the Governor of the Bank of Jamaica, Mr Derick Latibeaudiere.
