Revenue Protection Division(RPD) Issues Public Advisory

The Revenue Protection Division of the Ministry of Finance & Planning is reminding members of the public that the registration and transfer of motor vehicles should only be carried out at any of the twenty-nine Tax Offices islandwide. Further, members of the public who may have information regarding the possession, or use, of motor vehicle documents suspected to be fraudulent are being asked to contact the Revenue Protection Division at rpdinfo@mof.gov.jm , or 1 - 888 - 225 – 5773
(CALLRPD).
The Revenue Protection Division (RPD) has arrested and charged another person in connection with an ongoing and joint RPD/ Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) investigation into missing motor vehicle documents. The list of charges laid includes forgery, possession of forged documents, uttering forged documents and conspiracy to deceive.
This follows the arrest of one other person three weeks ago in connection with the same matter.
Other arrests are pending.
